Pretty much everything Rin said about him afterwards made me sniff. Including the arrogant comment, the bit about not wasting the chance he gave them, the part where she's trying to get Ilya out of the house, the conversation about Saber, and the conversation about his wish.

(In my head, Rin should've smacked him and told him not to be ridiculous, he should have actually caught up with them, and... well the mana replenishing might be a bit awkward, I guess he could just stand outside.)

...oh, man. Gilgamesh is definitely my least favorite Servant. I mean, he's funny in certain fic, but he's also the most arrogant bastard who ever lived. Grr.

Um, so I finally got up the nerve to look at that Archer/Shirou at FF.net. It's not as bad as I thought it would be, it's just... bad, and a waste of an interesting idea. Part of Archer's goals is to shatter Shirou's ideals. Isn't that much more natural than - well, I don't know what motivation weird!fanfic!Archer had. And I hate that 'falling-in-love-with-your-rapist' trope, and there would be no holding even if Shirou would let him. Which he wouldn't.

...yes, I have been thinking about this for fifteen minutes. That's not lame at all, and I certainly am not thinking about writing this correctly. Oy...

EDIT 2: I definitely didn't expect for UBW to make my inner Archer/Rin fangirl squeal, but damnit, that conversation after Rider's death? Made me giddy. (Saber called them intimate~)

...also. When Lancer's talking to Rin about their difficult Masters/Servants, she says something like "No, mine's just hard to deal with." The fact that she said this after he betrayed her, threatened her, and gave Shinji permission to rape her? ...yeah, I don't get why anyone says this route is remotely Shirou/Rin. Archer/Rin all the way.

Heaven's Feel is up next~ Untranslated, but I don't really mind all that much. It'll have Archer in it. That's good enough for me. Also, I don't know anything about circumstances of the masturbating!Rin CG, but I'm pretending she's thinking of Archer until I'm proven otherwise. Because I can.
